Sydney Urdu School was formed in October 2018 with a vision to enrich communities with language learning skills for children originating from the Indian subcontinent. We take great pride in starting this journey with one of the sweetest languages in the world, Urdu. Our experienced faculty has been teaching locally and overseas for many years and it is our good fortune to be associated with NSW Department of Education. Our teachers have bilingual skills and communicate very well in English. Children who grow up here in Australia are comfortable with using English as a medium when required to learn or develop a skill. We very well understand this need and ensure that our teachers use English to help students climb the ladder towards learning Urdu. Upon completion of the Urdu language classes by year end, we aim to develop a sense of love of the Urdu language in the children. In addition, we aim for most students to be able read, write and communicate in basic Urdu by the end of the year. Sydney Urdu School is proud to have a management team with varied backgrounds, passionate about inculcating Urdu language skills in our new generation. The management has been going above and beyond in providing encouragement, support and access to activities that enable children to learn the beautiful Urdu language. Without any doubt, our humble initiative has been massively supported by community leaders as well as the community itself. Initiatives are all in line with our objective to promote Urdu and facilitate lifelong learning. Our honest intention is to have a similar plan for other subcontinental languages, such as Hindi, in the near future.
