Pushing Through Gold Coast

Hi my name is Leigh Skinner, In my late teens I developed a Tumor in my spinal cord crushing the nerves to my legs. I was diagnosed as an incomplete spinal cord injury, which has left me with a permanent disability. That took away my dream of becoming an athlete. It took the next 20 years of soul searching to discover it was not that bad having a disability. I started to focus on the things I could do instead of the things I could not do. That is where my personal development journey started, 16 years ago 2004. In 2008 my lifelong dream finally came true. I became an Athlete, a para-athlete. My sport was Para Powerlifting, which is bench press for male and females with lower limb disabilities. After travelling the world for 10 years competing for Australia as an Elite Para Powerlifter, I retired at the Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018. I am so blessed to retire at my home games in front of my extended family and 100's friends, including my Mum, Dad, Wife and 2 children. I am now in my mid 50's and have a wealth of knowledge about what it takes to be the best person you can be, how to get to the top of your mountain. I have studied NLP (Neruo Linguistic Programing). Have spent tens of thousands of dollars on developing myself to become the best I can be. Now it is my turn to help you be the best you can be!
