How I Work My art practice is about the natural flow of creativity and finding space. I create because it is something that is in me I have to do it whether it is cooking a meal, playing with my grandkids designing textiles creating a Cosmic Smash Book page splashing paint of a canvas or building a sandcastle. I am a contemporary artist at Pure Goddess Design Studio. Living on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I am a full time carer to my beautiful mother, I work between my home and my studio situated under the Maleny RSL where I cook for the locals on a Friday night. I started out as a textile designer working with screen printing, silk painting and printing with leaves and found objects. I now also work with acrylics and mixed medium. I stumbled upon Art Journaling as a way of expressing my feelings and then along came Cosmic Smashbooking ® I describe it as journaling on steroids and Intentional Creativity ® I draw my inspiration from my life around me, my natural environment my memories The sound of the wind in the tree tops the smell of our amazing Australian bush, the call of the birds on the wing, the feel of the morning sun on my skin the power of the surf crashing on the rocks, mud squishing between my toes the silence of the desert night where you feel like you can touch the stars and always always hugging trees. All of this and more finds its way into my work in one way or another My passion and purpose is to create and to help others find their own way of creating My gift is to guide people on how to heal through inquiry and creativity, to show them that alongside the hardships and traumas of life there is also hope joy growth and fun.
