Unique, tranquil private bungalow, 1.2 hr from Melbourne or train to Geelong station. 15mins from Geelong CBD & its significant waterfront, Ocean Grove surfbeach, Portarlington, Queenscliff, BarwonHeads, IndentedHeads, 40mins to Torquay. Close to numerous wineries, eateries, art galleries, nurseries, walking/bike trails, reserves, parks, lakes, golf courses(13th Beach, Curlewis +driving range). Geelong is home of the AFL CATS- fans will be in for a treat!!! Include continental breakfast. The Space Private studio with super comfy Queen bed, bathroom, 2 separate toilets. extra Double sofa futon bed available to accommodate 4 people in total on open plan with a japanese screen for privacy, but minimum stay is 2 nights for 4. There are 2 toilets available. Large air-conditioned North facing sunny comfortable living room overlooking tennis court with basketball hoop and beautiful expansive gardens you can appreciate from the huge deck that gives a blend of relaxing cottage feel and Australian landscape. Also included in the studio is a pool table to keep on busy or books & games to occupy time. Our family comprises of hubby, myself & 22 yr old son, a big 2 year old indoor Tibetian Mastiff & a 3yr old indoor cat ; 21chooks ,3 alpacas, 1 reindeer outdoors. Lots of wild ducks, birdlife around the dam surrounded by beautiful white lilies when in season. There is also an outdoor bbq area and sunken fire pit, great in winter. This freestanding bungalow has its own entry, steps at the front and a ramp at the back. The main house is far enough to ensure your privacy. When you arrive we will welcome you and get you settled in and familiarise you with the facilities and area. My husband and I will be around to welcome you and to provide any assistance you may need. We may socialise, if you so desire, in which case please let us know in advance so we can ensure we are available to give you our time. 5 to 15 mins drive to Ocean Grove surf beach, quaint Portarlington , Queenscliff and Victoria's biggest provincial township of Geelong with its spectacular waterfront, shops and eateries, mins to nearby renowned wineries such as Jack Rabbit, Leura Park, Flying Brick & many more others. We are also mins to many local golf courses with beautiful settings, there is also "Mini Golf" for the beginners. Close to facilities including numerous selections of supermarkets including Aldi, banks, medical centers, post office, cafes, Music cafes, restaurants etc. You will find delight in the weekly fabulous markets with local produce and handicrafts, rotating around the area. Queenscliff ferry to Sorrento is 20 minutes drive Port Arlington Ferry to Melbourne Docklands service is 10 mins drive from here, a hobby train runs from Drysdale to Queenscliff. Car is a necessity or 15-20 mins walk to bus stop for public transport to Geelong and surrounding areas such as Ocean Grove, Clifton Springs, Curlewis, Indented Heads, Barwon Heads , Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff. With just an hr's train ride into the big smoke of Melbourne from Geelong or a ferry ride over to Melbourne's Docklands where you can catch free trams all around Melbourne CBD to savour Melbourne's multicultural cuisines, art galleries, shows, sporting events, etc. you will have the best experience of both rural and city worlds. If you have your own bike, there're very scenic local bike trails all the way to Queenscliff, etc. But otherwise you can take a walk around the basin or nearby lake. We provide continental breakfast needs such as milk, juice, cereal, yogurt, home make jam if available. Guest access Guests can access their own outside decking, the outdoor bbq area, tennis court, orchard. If you are going out and worry about getting taxis, my husband will happily drive you to nearby eateries and pick you up for $20 per trip to local eateries. Please advise us before coming that you need such transport service. Other things to note We can accommodate babies from 0-9mths old but you need to byo portacot & beddings. If there are only 2 guests but require separate beds, it will be deemed as a 3rd person booking ie: book for 3 please. If you see yourself enjoying a pit fire under the stars while you cook your BBQ, with the sunset on one side and the moon coming on the opposite side, contact with nature, scent of gum trees and soil, wandering in the garden and among fruit trees, feeding deer (greens & fruits only) and chickens (food scraps) then this is the place for you in a safe and natural environment. The sound of the wind in the trees and the birds are a relaxing complement to the experience. The location is perfect, a few minutes driving from everywhere, whether you like to visit nurseries, wineries, eateries, or beaches. There are also plenty of areas to walk without using the car and enjoy being in touch with nature. Directions A little guide for when you get to 80 Belchers Road (with mustard colored fence). Please turn right into the driveway. A very short distance you will see a "parking" arrow with a Hakuna Matata signboard on your left. Turn left at that point into a paddock & drive alongside the dam on your right, then turn right alongside tennis court & park in front of the white pavilion. The door will be unlocked for you.
