Eco Timber Drying Small Businesses

Our aim is to produce quality kiln dried timber without having an impact on the environment and saving you money. We dry timber to under 20% moisture content using a four layer polycarbonate greenhouse along with solar power to run fans and equipment, under floor heating, solar water heater and solar radiators. For when there is little sun for more than a few days; there is also a LPG back up for the water heater that feeds the under floor and radiator heating systems. With this system we can do the same job as a typical timber kiln that simply uses an air conditioner run at 60+ deg C 24/7. This requires huge amounts of electricity and thus is horrible for the environment and is very costly. Drying times vary from a couple of weeks to a few months depending on the type and thickness of the timber being dried.
